Okay, now i am writing my very first blog
If you’ve ever met me, and read that line, you might wonder : Why ???
Why did I choose to write a blog ?
There is a long story, but I’ll keep it short
I am a final year SWE student. When you hear about the word : SOFTWARE in 2026, what comes to your mind ? AI ? Absolutely. Like others, I use AI most of the time. I talk to AI more than I talk to humans. It is productive, easy, and frictionless. I can solve the problem that people in the past took the whole month in just 10 minutes. But when everyone has those tools, and everyone has the ability to steer AI to do the things they want, things get complicated. I can’t keep up with the speed of AI, I can’t remember how many times I blindly accept AI results. I just can’t control it. Some time ago, I tried to learn in an old school way but u know, it was too time-consuming, and I came back to AI again.
The more I work with AI, the more I rely on it. Besides coding, sometimes I even ask it for life advice, or complain about how struggling I was. It is quick. Sometimes I got terrible answers, sometimes I got life-changing answers that I never read a second time. I feel productive when constantly asking AI for improvement, but I barely do anything.
Despite being so strong at reasoning, no one can reason against an AI, actually, in some cases.
I heard Astra solved the very hard math problems 2 months ago, and AI will do more and more of this, I guess. But the problem is that AI is only useful when we feed it enough context. I remembered when I "coded with AI", to be honest, it was prompt without reviewing the code. It was weird. It starts to write god mode files, breaks security, ….. .
You can imagine this like telling a kid to buy something. You said : "Buy a delicious cake" .
She does not know which kind of cake is delicious ? Which kind of cake do you want ? So she ends up asking the salesman and brings home a terrible cake.
Well, I think the model develops, it could be a teenager, and eventually a fully grown adult. When you ask a teenager to buy a cake, she would ask you which kind of cake you want ?
When you ask an adult to buy a cake, beside that teenager’s question, she would ask "how much" , "which store u know", "do you have an allergy" ??
So the AI right now is still a kid, if you tell it to do something vague,it would blow everything up. It does not know the universal rule, your intention, does not even ask it, does not know the context in your brain to execute the task. You have to feed it everything you know so it does not go the wrong way, very frustrating.
Talking to AI feels exactly like that. If I give AI the question that doesn't have fixed answers, it would give the answer that usually does not fit my situation. It does not know who I am ( I even turn off the memory of it), what I feel, … . Just a statistical machine .
You know the "You are absolutely right" message ? They usually hallucinate. Talking to AI is like talking in an echo chamber, giving me positive feedback when my thinking is wrong.
I'm glad that I stopped using AI for personal things quite long ago. If not, I’d end up being depressed. I really want to explore myself, to actually know who I am. I don’t quite like coding, I used to define myself as a tech person, coder, developer, …. .
But it’s not, I am just a human who enjoys life.
I am currently seeking for something more "human" to do, then I choose blogging.
For me, being transparent for myself is my main priority. After most of the things, I don’t quite remember the pleasure, but I remember the times I struggled, the time I chose to do something different.
So, trying new things ? Why not
The more I write, the better my blog is, and the better I am
